Holy Crap!
I just found out I’m going to some NCAA Tournament games in March in Pittsburgh. More details to follow closer to the date, but I’m already super excited!

Dynasty Updates
For those of you who enjoyed reading my dynasty posts for both the Texans and the Coyotes/Tigers, I’ll be doing more of those games shortly. I’ve just been working on experience profiles for my post-graduate education next year. I have one saved up against the Raiders that should be posted rather quickly compared to the NHL one.

So, I’ve submitted my OUAC application for Teacher’s College as well as my application for the Sports Journalism program. I just have to wait for the universities to receive my applications to begin my experience profiles for being a teacher. Oh man. Now the anxiety of waiting for answers. The suspense is already killing me. So basically, Nippising, U of T, Brock, and Loyalist, my...

The Future Starts Now
Since I’ve already filled out my application for the Sports Journalism program I wanted to take, I guess it’s time to look into the application for Teacher’s College.
God damn! That’s expensive! Oh well. Looks like I’ll have some homework to do for the first time in nearly 8 months. Let the good times roll!

The Dawning of a New Dynasty
Hockey in Southern Ontario recently received a shot in the arm. After years of declining ticket sales and ownership turmoil, the Phoenix Coyotes found new ownership this summer. The new ownership group sought to purchase the financially unstable franchise under one condition: a move out of Glendale. In a surprising vote, the Board of Governors approve the sale of the Coyotes under this condition...

This video, titled Logo for Life, introduced the media in attendance and the fans watching online to the new Blue Jays uniforms for the 2012 season. Or, should I say old? Heavily influenced by the original uniforms, this fantastic new uni-set modernizes a fan-favourite look that has been synonymous with the team for its 30-plus years in the MLB. I can’t wait for Opening Day and the Home...

New Theme!
Yay! New theme. It’s a lot simpler, giving it more of a newspaper style feel. Hope you guys like it as much as I do.

It appears the Toronto Blue Jays are getting a makeover for the 2012 season. The above teaser video hints at a new set of jerseys and caps, with BLUE being the prominent colour instead of the previous season’s black. You think it would just be common sense to make them the same colour as the bird, but who am I to judge? I don’t run a Major League Baseball franchise. Anyways, I’m...

My Life Long Dream Has Come True
I can finally be considered a free agent; well, at least in the eyes of the medical community.
Recently, I’ve been experiencing pain in my right shoulder essentially when moving it. Not knowing the cause or how to treat it, I thought it would be a good time to call my doctor’s office to get it checked out. When I called them, I told them my situation and warned the receptionist I was...

Was there a “porn room” in the old Shea Stadium? Dan Patrick seems to think so. This all stems from Boston’s late season collapse, specifically concerning rumours that players would stay in the clubhouse to drink beer, eat chicken, and play video games during innings in which they were not involved. Al Leiter does nothing to dispel any of the “porn room” rumours.

I never really thought about how all the differences in dimensions and measurements would change how baseball is played in the Little League World Series compared to the majors. ESPN Sports Science did -what I think is - a fascinating piece on how it can actually be tougher to hit as a little leaguer than a major leaguer. Take a look, interesting stuff.

"The Mount Rushmore of Blue Jays"
On my way home from work this evening, I was listening to Mike Wilner’s Jays Talk show following the Blue Jays’ 9-1 loss to the Rays. One of the callers brought up the fact that - unlike other stadiums - there are no statues honouring former Blue Jays in front of Rogers Centre.
Another idea she had was having a “Mount Rushmore” of sorts featuring the busts of former Jays...
