I really can’t stop playing this game. I’m afraid I’ll beat all the Deadly Descents too quickly then not want to spent my time in the Explore Mode. More of my friends need to get this game so I can try to beat their times/scores!
A couple of years ago on this blog, I did a dynasty/franchise/whatever you want to call it with the Los Angeles Kings. I’d chronicle the season month by month, including statistics, line changes, injuries, and other transactions. Seeing as I am taking a year off school, I have some extra time for those things again this year. A couple of people told me they enjoyed reading them, so I’m going to start those up again.
However, this year will be different. I’ll be doing a NFL dynasty along with an NHL one. For the NFL, I’ve already selected the Houston Texans, a team that has never made they playoffs in their existence. They have a solid division in terms of video game players, so I think it would be fun. Also, I’m already using the Bills and 49ers in my online franchises. Ergo, my teams are already off the table.
The problem I have is the NHL side. I don’t know which team to be. I haven’t done a GM Mode in NHL 12, so part of me wants to be my team, the Leafs. I just don’t always have the heart to make the necessary trades to make them better.
This is where you guys come in. I’ll be taking suggestions for which NHL team to be. Since there is a planned PSN outage tomorrow, I’ll be starting this thing on the morning of Friday November 18, 2011. So, what team should I be?
To continue our friendly online sports rivalry, Kieran (Kebb32 on the PSN) and I (BDot10) took up a couple of games of NHL 11. Both games went to overtime. Which team won?
Well, the first game featured myself playing as my beloved Maple Leafs, with Kieran taking to the ice as the young guns of Edmonton. It was a fiercely competitive game. The final result of the game is showcased in the above goal. (Edit: Holy Mackinaw!) A beautiful goal to end a great hockey game. Final Score: 2-1 (OT) Maple Leafs. Versus Record: 1-0 Brett.
The second game of the double header had the Kieran-controlled Senators take on my Kings. Another very competitive game that ventured in to overtime after a 2-2 stalemate for three periods. This game, however, did not have a pretty end. In OT, Senators goalie Pascal Leclaire mishandled the puck and played it into his own net. Final Score: 3-2 (OT) Kings. Versus Record: 2-0 Brett.
Hopefully there will be more games to recap in the future. In regards to an NHL 11 review, I hope to write one of those very soon. Damn English readings!
My PSN Card (updated)
I had this before, but I wanted to share the new design I came up with. Good ol’ Zoidy.
