I could watch this again and again, and again and again and again. Scrivens has potential.

This popped up on my Facebook News Feed as two of my die-hard Maple Leafs friends shared it between them. After watching it, I couldn’t be more excited for the new season to come. Only a month until opening night. Book it!

I know the Leafs haven’t one a Cup since ‘67.  I was anticipating the backlash following the Blackhawks 4-3 OT victory in Game 6 to seal their championship dream (which I called).
Anyways, I’m not here to complain about this fact.  There isn’t much I can do about that because it’s the truth.  However, I do want to complain about the media treatment.  Focus on Chicago.  They have just claimed (arguably) the biggest trophy in professional hockey.  Give them the limelight for a few days before the Leaf-bashing resumes.  Focus on the great story of a team that couldn’t sell out the arena a few years ago under old ownership.  Now, it’s back to the Madhouse on Madison.
TL;DR: Save the Leaf bashing for a bit.  Let the ‘Hawks enjoy their victory and give them the attention they deserve.
